Claro announces that it is installing a 4.9 LTE network that will provide connectivity for Minera Gold Fields Salares Norte.
Located between 3,900 meters. and 4,700 meters. above sea level in the municipality of Diego de Almagro, in the Atacama region, the closest major city to the Gold Fields mining operation is Copiapó (arround 330 km away).
The assignment in this project for Raylex contemplates the design, supply, construction, assembly and commissioning of a telecommunications network, which forms the back haul of the telecommunications services that Claro Chile S.A. will provide this client with fixed and mobile broadband, a mobile telephone system based on a private LTE network, satellite television, etc.
Reach
The scope of Raylex for this project also includes the design and implementation of a total of 10 repeater sites. This considers two existing sites and the construction of 8 new telecommunications radio stations. Each of them is made up of a self-supporting tower, a communications shelter and generator sets that will provide power to said facilities.
The communications network will be interconnected with the rest of the country in the town of El Salvador. For its implementation, the use of state-of-the-art equipment from the Aviat® brand and ABB® energy systems has been contemplated, which are represented exclusively by Raylex in our country.
The project is currently in the process of being deployed and is expected to end in the summer of 2021-2022.
