This project of the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, due to its size and national scope, has been developed in successive Phases awarded by public tender to Raylex and this year it was its third phase. It consists of the deployment of a VHF Digital communications network with DRM technology, for the southern airport area, with equipment from our represented Hytera.
It consists of the installation of 7 repeater stations and 86 bases that will cover the operational and administrative communications of the DGAC in more than 19 aerodromes and 2 offices in the area between the Freire Aerodrome, in Araucanía and up to Villa O'Higgins by the south. The geographical, climatic conditions and those derived from the pandemic have imposed additional difficulties on this project, which have been successfully overcome and should be completed in July 2021.
For the correct exploitation of the technology delivered as part of this project, Raylex will develop extensive theoretical and technical training courses.
Raylex RCC plus Innovation Project:
Raylex continues to develop its exploitation and growth capabilities of a convergent communications system, with its own infrastructure, for the first time in its history, which allows it to offer, among others:
- POC Services (PTT Over Cellular)
- PTT Video Services.
- Trunking Radio Services for the metropolitan area.
- Dispatch Console Services.
- Recording and auditing services.
For the development of this project, a process of conceptualization, technology acquisition and deployment has been carried out, which has involved a significant logistical effort and investment.
Currently the system has more than 2,000 users and we are developing an ambitious marketing plan, which seeks to contribute to the objective of generating permanent income streams. It is noteworthy to note that this platform has made it possible to provide communications services in a rental mode to organizations that provide security in all the 2021 election processes.
