Claro Chile S.A. commissioned Raylex Diginet S.A. the design, supply, construction and commissioning of the microwave telecommunications network for its client Minera Gold Fields Salares Norte consisting of ten radio stations to provide connectivity and energy to the mobile coverage equipment and Private LTE services that Claro must provide at your customer's site. The field work began in February 2021 and lasted for one year until February 18, 2022. Of the network built, eight radio stations had to be built entirely within the facilities of Minera Gold Fields Salares Norte located in the Andes Mountains, inside the city of Copiapó at heights that range between 4,000 and 5,000 meters, in an area of difficult access and with very adverse climatic conditions not only due to the geographical height of the sites, but also due to the extreme temperatures that the work team had to endure throughout the period. Almost 60,000 man-hours were used in the field with a peak workforce of 47 people. It is also important to note that the entire project was developed in an environment of restrictions resulting from the pandemic.
